Malayalam Actor Siddique Goes Missing After Bail Rejection in Actress Molestation Case; Police Launch Nationwide Search

Malayalam actor Siddique has gone missing following the Kerala High Court’s rejection of his anticipatory bail plea in connection with a high-profile actress molestation case. The court’s decision came after investigators presented new evidence that further implicated the actor in the alleged crime, which took place in 2012.

Police have since launched an extensive search operation and issued lookout notices at airports across the country, fearing that Siddique may attempt to flee abroad. Both of his homes in Kochi are under surveillance, and law enforcement officials have confirmed that Siddique’s phones have been switched off, signaling a potential attempt to evade arrest.

High Court Rejects Bail Amid Strong Evidence

The Kerala High Court, led by Justice CS Dias, denied Siddique’s anticipatory bail after reviewing fresh witness statements and evidence that placed the actor in a controversial position. The court expressed dissatisfaction with Siddique’s defense, which argued that the charges were fabricated and part of a conspiracy. The complainant’s testimony, supported by new evidence, was deemed credible by the court.

Despite Siddique’s legal team, headed by senior advocate B Raman Pillai, claiming that the initial complaints made no mention of rape, the court remained unconvinced. Further proof, including evidence that Siddique and the complainant were at the Mascot Hotel in 2012, as per the complaint, played a crucial role in the court’s decision.

Nationwide Search and Legal Developments

Following the bail rejection, police officials were ordered to arrest Siddique immediately. Surveillance has been set up at both his residences in Kochi, but the actor has yet to be located. His son was seen visiting the legal firm Raman Pillai Associates, leading to speculation that a petition may soon be filed with the Supreme Court to contest the High Court’s ruling.

With Siddique’s whereabouts currently unknown, law enforcement agencies are maintaining high vigilance, especially at airports, amid concerns that he may attempt to leave the country.

This case has gripped national attention as it unfolds, with mounting pressure on authorities to ensure accountability and justice in what is shaping up to be one of Kerala’s most high-profile cases in recent years.

Conclusion

As the search for Siddique intensifies, the case represents a significant moment in Kerala’s legal landscape. The High Court’s decision signals a strong stance against sexual assault allegations, and the coming days will be critical in determining Siddique’s fate.
