In a tragic incident early Wednesday, an Agusta 109 helicopter (VT-EVV) belonging to Heritage Aviation crashed near Pune, claiming the lives of two pilots and an aircraft maintenance engineer. The chopper, en route from Oxford Helipad in Pune to Juhu, Mumbai, went down about 20 nautical miles from its departure point, hitting a hill in dense fog conditions.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has confirmed the fatalities of the crew members, identified as Captain Pillai, Captain Paramjit, and an unnamed engineer. No passengers were on board at the time. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
