Mumbai-Howrah Mail Train Receives Hoax Bomb Threat, Halted at Jalgaon Station

Mumbai (Maharashtra), October 14, 2024: Early Monday morning, the Mumbai-Howrah Mail (12809) received a bomb threat involving a timer bomb. The Central Railway’s control room reported that the threat was received around 4:00 AM. In response, the train was immediately halted at Jalgaon station for thorough checks.

A comprehensive search was conducted by security teams, but no suspicious items were found onboard. The train resumed its journey shortly after the inspection. Despite the hoax, search operations are still ongoing as authorities continue investigating the matter.
