Watch: Man Hangs from Bus Door for 1 km in Chandigarh, Driver and Conductor Suspended After Video Goes Viral

A shocking video has emerged from Chandigarh, showing a man clinging to the door of a moving bus after being refused entry. The incident occurred on route number 85 near Hallomajra bus stop, and the footage has since gone viral, sparking outrage on social media.

The passenger, whose name has not been revealed, was reportedly trying to board the bus (CH-01-GA-5367) to reach his office, but the driver and conductor denied him entry. As a result, the man had no choice but to hang precariously from the door, traveling in this dangerous manner for about one kilometer.

After receiving both the video and a formal complaint from the passenger, the UT Transport Department acted swiftly. The driver, Karamveer, and the conductor, Binu Rani, have been suspended and removed from duty for their reckless behavior, which endangered the passenger’s life. Officials stated that the passenger could have been seriously injured in this perilous situation.

The viral video has left the public demanding better accountability from the transport authorities to ensure the safety of passengers in the future.
