Delhi Blast Near CRPF School: Police Investigate Possible Khalistani Connection

New Delhi: A blast near a CRPF school in Delhi’s Rohini area on Sunday has triggered an extensive investigation, with authorities examining a potential link to Khalistani elements. Though the explosion caused damage to the school wall and nearby vehicles, no injuries were reported.

The incident, which took place between 7:35 and 7:40 am, is believed to have been caused by an improvised explosive device (IED). Initial investigations suggest that the device was planted late Saturday night, likely with the intent to send a message rather than cause harm to civilians.

In the wake of the explosion, a concerning social media post emerged, allegedly from a group calling itself Justice League India. The post claimed the blast was in retaliation for actions against pro-Khalistan separatists. A video clip of the explosion, accompanied by the phrase “Khalistan Zindabad,” heightened fears of a deliberate attempt to stir unrest.

Coordinated Responses from Security Agencies

A multi-agency team, including the National Investigation Agency (NIA), National Security Guard (NSG), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Delhi Police, quickly cordoned off the area and began forensic examinations. While investigations are ongoing, officials have expressed concerns about the possibility of more incidents if tensions escalate.

The senior police officer leading the case noted that the location was likely chosen to avoid casualties while sending a symbolic message. Authorities are now intensifying efforts to track those behind the attack and prevent further security breaches.

Rising Concerns Amidst Recent Threats

This explosion follows a series of bomb threats across the country over the past week, most of which turned out to be hoaxes. However, the deliberate nature of this incident, combined with the social media claims, has heightened concerns about potential extremist activities.

Officials are urging the public to remain vigilant as they work to ensure the safety and security of the capital. The investigation will continue with utmost sensitivity, focusing on preventing further incidents and maintaining regional peace.
