Following their defeat in Maharashtra’s assembly elections, Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray Sena (UBT) has raised serious allegations of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) tampering, demanding the results be annulled. Party spokesperson Sanjay Raut claimed that the Sena was leading in early paper ballots, but the tide turned dramatically after EVM counting. The party has filed 450 complaints, citing discrepancies between initial and final results. Raut sarcastically suggested that the BJP rigged the results and called for fresh elections using paper ballots.
Sharad Pawar also voiced concerns, drawing attention to the unusual pattern of wins in larger states after losses in smaller ones. Despite their claims, the Election Commission maintains the elections were conducted fairly. As tensions rise, UBT’s demand for transparency continues to challenge the election results.
