Bengaluru Bus Conductor Stabbed After Safety Request

In a shocking incident in Bengaluru, a 45-year-old bus conductor named Yogesh was stabbed by a passenger identified as Harsh Sinha. The attack occurred on October 1, 2024, after Yogesh asked Sinha not to stand on the footboard of the bus, a request made to ensure passenger safety.

Following the stabbing, passengers quickly apprehended Sinha and handed him over to the police, who arrested him under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). Meanwhile, the injured conductor was rushed to a private hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.

Sinha, originally from Jharkhand, had recently lost his job at a local call center just days before the incident. The attack has raised concerns about safety in public transportation, echoing a similar incident in April when a cab driver stabbed his girlfriend after a marriage proposal was rejected.

Police are now conducting a thorough investigation into the case, and further updates are expected as the situation unfolds.
