Congress Claims Victory in Nanded Lok Sabha By-Election in a Narrow Win

In a dramatic turn, Congress candidate Ravindra Vasantrao Chavan won the Nanded Lok Sabha by-election in Maharashtra, defeating BJP’s Santut Rao Hambarde by a slim margin of 1,457 votes. The race remained tight throughout the counting process, with both candidates exchanging leads in the initial rounds. Chavan secured 586,788 votes, while Hambarde garnered 585,331 votes. The by-election was held following the death of Congress MP Vasant Rao Chavan, with his son, Ravindra, stepping in to contest. Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi’s Avinash Vishwanath Bhosikar secured third place.
