Mumbai Local Train Disruption: AC Train Doors Fail to Open at Dadar, Commuters Stranded

In a frustrating turn of events on November 23, 2024, commuters traveling on the CSMT-bound AC local train on Mumbai’s Central Railway were left stranded when the doors failed to open at Dadar station. The train, which had halted at the station during morning rush hours, proceeded on its onward journey, forcing passengers to disembark at Parel instead.

One commuter, Mukesh Makhija, shared his experience on social media, describing it as a “horrible” situation with no prior announcement. Central Railway officials confirmed that the incident was caused by a technical glitch and assured that corrective measures would be taken to prevent such occurrences in the future.

This disruption highlights ongoing concerns about the efficiency of Mumbai’s local train services during peak hours.
