Prashant Kishor Launches Jan Suraj Party, Pledges to End Bihar Liquor Ban.

In a significant move ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, political strategist Prashant Kishor has formally entered electoral politics with the launch of his political outfit, Jan Suraj Party. Aimed at providing a fresh alternative in the state’s political landscape, Kishor’s party promises to contest all constituencies in the upcoming elections, positioning itself as a non-dynastic, people-centric force.

Kishor, who has been actively touring Bihar for over two years, raising awareness on electoral issues, vows to shift the focus from caste-based politics and populist schemes to a vision-driven agenda. One of his key promises includes repealing Bihar’s controversial liquor ban, which has been a contentious issue since its implementation in 2016.

Though Kishor has spearheaded multiple successful campaigns for other political parties, he has clarified that the leadership of Jan Suraj will be determined by those who have worked within the movement, not by him. He seeks to challenge the dominance of established political entities like the RJD and BJP, advocating for a new direction in Bihar’s governance.

The launch of Jan Suraj is expected to shake up the political dynamics in the state, with Kishor’s reform-driven approach aiming to resonate with the electorate ahead of the crucial elections.
