Sambhal Violence: Akhilesh Yadav Alleges Political Motives Behind Stone Pelting

In the aftermath of the Sambhal stone-pelting incident, Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav accused the government of orchestrating unrest to divert attention from alleged electoral misconduct during recent by-elections. He claimed that the violence was engineered to suppress questions about the transparency of the electoral process.

Referring to the film The Sabarmati Report, Akhilesh suggested that certain individuals might have drawn inspiration from its narrative to exploit chaos for political gain. He criticized the government for undermining democracy, calling it a deliberate distraction tactic.

Akhilesh announced that the Samajwadi Party, along with opposition leaders, plans to address the issue in Parliament at the earliest opportunity. He also committed to sending a party delegation to Sambhal to meet the victims and assess the situation on the ground. The incident, which has heightened political tensions, raises broader concerns about law and order and the misuse of power for political ends.
