A Historical and Spiritual Hub

Located on the Chittorgarh-Udaipur highway, the Sanwaliya Seth Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and holds significant historical and spiritual importance:

  • Origins:
Established in 1840, the temple’s foundation traces back to a divine dream experienced by a milkman, Bholaram Gurjar, leading to the excavation of three buried idols of Lord Krishna. These idols were installed at Mandaphiya, Bhadsoda, and Chapar.
  • Cultural Significance:
The Mandaphiya Temple, known as Shri Sanwaliya Dham, has become a major pilgrimage site, second only to Nathdwara among Vaishnav followers. Local legends link the temple to the famed Hindu poet and mystic Meerabai.

Key Highlights

The latest donations underscore the deep devotion of worshippers and highlight the temple’s stature as a revered spiritual center. Its consistent growth and unique cultural heritage continue to draw pilgrims from across the country.
