In a heartbreaking incident, the six-year-old son of BJP leader Dheeraj Singh Dev passed away on Thursday after being struck by an SUV in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh. The child, who was playing outside his aunt’s house, was rushed to Apollo Hospital, Bilaspur, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

The incident, caught on camera, shows the young boy playing when a vehicle makes a sharp turn into the street, hitting him and running over him. The boy’s father and nearby residents rushed to the scene, taking him to Sanjeevani Hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was transferred to Apollo Hospital, where he tragically passed away early Wednesday morning.
The driver of the SUV was confronted by the child’s family and residents before being handed over to the police. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
