Navi Mumbai International Airport Welcomes First Aircraft, Marks Key Milestone

In a landmark moment, the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIAL) saw its first aircraft touchdown as an Indian Air Force C-295 successfully landed on the south runway. Developed by the Adani Group, the greenfield project started in August 2021 and is set to become operational by early 2025.

Jeet Adani, Director of Adani Airport Holdings Ltd., called it a proud moment, marking significant progress in creating a world-class aviation hub. Once fully operational, NMIAL will handle up to 90 million passengers annually, bolstering both regional accessibility and economic growth.
